The Saint Charbel Family is an "ecclesial community."
Its vocation: for its members to be "monks in the heart of the world"...
It is a school of prayer and discipleship for Christ, and a radical way of living the Gospel
in the heart of the family, the parish, and the community... stemming from our care
and inspired by Charbel's spirituality.
Its model: the first Christian community that "dedicated itself to the teaching of the Apostles, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers," with the Mother of God, Mary, at its center.
Its beginning: It is the work of the Holy Spirit, bestowed by the Lord as a gift
to the Church of Lebanon following the experience of prayer in front of the hermitage of Saints Peter and Paul
in Annaya...
Its community: Priests, monks, nuns, and lay people of all ages participate
in the simple act of worship, teaching, prayer, the rosary, and spiritual retreats.
Our meetings:
- Every Friday in Annaya: Teaching at 7:15, Divine Liturgy at 8:00. The rosary is followed by the Mass in the church in the winter, and a procession from the monastery to the hermitage in the summer.
- Every first Wednesday of the month at Saint Charbel Adonis Church: 8:00 PM.
In addition, there are several seasonal and annual spiritual retreats, others for the committed, and various meetings throughout the year in the regions.
